Barrio Salsa

BarrioSalsa is a dynamic Sydney based latin band boasting 2 male and 1 Sexy female lead vocals a HOT Percussion section, Funky Bassist, Cheeky Keyboardist, Sax and sometimes added Trombone, with an emphasis on "live" performance music.

The contagious vocalists make BarrioSalsa visually appealing and musically versatile together with the musicians who concentrate on tight presentation and musical production for an authentic "Barrio" sound that can only be achieved by a band of this calibre.

They deliver high energy Salsa, Latin Dance/Groove music plus a hint of Jazz. It's energy, excitement, fun They add a new kind of verve to the covers they perform, with playful and funky arrangements that give the BarrioSalsa sound character and oomph. The band also performs classic Salsa material.

BarrioSalsa is a subsidiary of Salsa Republic, aiming to the corporate market and salsa dance academy's. Traditional 70's/80's street New York Salsa and Descargas by artist's such as Charlie and Eddie Palmieri, Ray Barreto are what makes part of the repertoire. Some other styles are Songo, Cha-Cha, Mambo, and Funk.
